There are some pretty cruel people out in there in the world that think their funny and pretty clever when they hurl insults at fat people about their weight.
I personally have been called all sorts of names in the past such as;

<p>There are some pretty cruel people out in there in the world that think their funny and pretty clever when they hurl insults at fat people about their weight.</p>
<p>I personally have been called all sorts of names in the past such as;</p>
<ul>
<li>fatty</li>
<li>pig</li>
<li>lard ass</li>
<li>rolly polly</li>
</ul>
<p>and many other names by total strangers and so called friends who tried to hurt me with their insults. It use to make me feel very sad and depressed until I turned it around and no longer did it bother me in the slightest.</p>
<p>Lets be honest, we are all human and have feelings. Some of use are more susceptible to peoples insults and take it to heart and yet others let insults just roll off like water on a ducks back and don&#8217;t give it another thought.</p>
<p>Two examples on overcoming the fat insults when walking away is just not an option.</p>
<p><strong>Example: 1 Some so called friend or stranger calls you fat straight to your face</strong></p>
<p>Response 1: &#8220;Oh my god, I&#8217;m fat? No? When did this happen? Wow your so smart, thanks for letting me know. After all these years I thought I was a size 0&#8243;</p>
<p><strong>Example 2: Cowards yell out at you &#8216;hey you fat pig&#8217; whilst they drive by</strong></p>
<p>Response 1: &#8220;crack up laughing and clap with a big smile on your face&#8221;</p>
<p>Response 2: &#8220;put your hand up by your ear and make out you didn&#8217;t hear them&#8221;</p>
<h4>Ways To Respond</h4>
<ul>
<li>Walk away</li>
<li>Use light hearted sarcasm</li>
<li>Smile and laugh it off</li>
</ul>
<p>If you are being abused at work or home with insults, then start standing up for yourself because no one else will. Being in a unsavory environment and having unsavory people around you, is not going to help you achieve your weightloss goal.</p>
<p><strong>Here are some choices you can make to change your work environment;</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Report insulter/s appropriately to management (when being insulted and bullied  at work)</li>
<li>Go find another job</li>
<li>Start being smart by either using sarcasm or laughing and smiling (walking away obviously hasn&#8217;t worked because their still insulting you with fat jokes)</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Here are some choices you can make to change your home environment;</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Move out</li>
<li>Start standing up for yourself by either using sarcasm or laughing and smiling at them to show what they have just said is ridiculous</li>
<li>End toxic relationships with the so called friend/s and family who are insulting you instead of supporting you</li>
<li>If it&#8217;s your house, then kick the person who&#8217;s insulting you out.</li>
</ol>
<p>If you insult the person by calling them names in response to their insults, then you are playing their game. You will feel better and they will feel defeated when you don&#8217;t buy into their insulting tactics.</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t have to use the tactic of laughing at the fat jokes and agree to hide your true feelings that the jokes have actually hurt your feelings. If you think the joke is truly funny and doesn&#8217;t offend you, then laugh to your hearts content.</p>
<p>Judge how you will respond appropriately to the situation as your safety is paramount. Walk away from any violent situation to somewhere safe and get help immediately if you need it. Now go out there and take charge of your own destiny and don&#8217;t give other people the power to decide how you are going to feel and how your going to be treated by them.</p>

<p>When you see the fat foods remember this;</p>

<h3>Change the way you think &#8211; Mind over food realities.</h3>

<li>You can&#8217;t beat the fat food temptations by merely avoiding, hiding or running away from them. They are everywhere in many different shapes, sizes and flavors. Acknowledge that  they are there and carry on as you normally do. You need to learn to live side by side with them without taking any notice of them.</li>
<li>If you think you have to eat the fatty foods because you were raised not to waste food, well you can stop that way of thinking right now!

<li>You can&#8217;t eat all the junk food in the world so it doesn&#8217;t go to waste. It&#8217;s impossible.</li>
<li>There are 1000&#8217;s of food manufacturers that work 24/7 producing unhealthy fatty foods and create tonnes of food wastage every day</li>
<li>You can&#8217;t think that there are starving children in Africa so you better be grateful and eat everything you see. You can&#8217;t save the world&#8217;s hunger problems. The children in Africa will still remain in the same situation regardless if you ate the fatty foods or not.</li>

<li>KFC, Mcdonald&#8217;s, Taco Bell and Star Bucks will still be there after you  have reached your weightloss goal and are looking totally hot. They&#8217;ll still be pumping out plenty of drumsticks and shakes. So don&#8217;t think your missing out if you don&#8217;t eat the chicken drumstick right  now.</li>
<li>By the time you have lost the weight, your mind will be so empowered that you will have forgotten about wanting to eat the chicken drumstick covered in fatty oil or having that tub of ice cream.</li>

<p>Taking the step of joining a gym can be a long an arduous decision. Let&#8217;s look at some of those reasons why.</p>
<h4><strong>5 reasons why people don&#8217;t join the gym</strong></h4>
<ol>
<li>Fear of other men &amp; women giving disapproving judgmental looks</li>
<li>Fear of not knowing how the gym equipment work</li>
<li>Fear of breaking the equipment</li>
<li>Not being able to afford the gym membership</li>
<li>Not being able to buy or find an outfit for the gym that looks good</li>
</ol>
<p>There is only one reason in the above list that I think is valid and that is;</p>
<blockquote><p>Not being able to afford the gym membership</p></blockquote>
<p>All the other reasons I find to be excuses so you don&#8217;t have to join the gym and therefore give yourself an excuse for your expected weightloss failure.</p>
<p>If you have already thought a myriad of excuses going into your weightloss plan, then you have already setup and expectation for yourself to fail your fat fight.</p>
<p>If you have done this, then your going to stay fat and get fatter until you change the way you think and start setting yourself up for success.</p>
<p>Now you can get a lot of exercise done and save a lot of money by doing 2 things;</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Walking</strong></li>
<li><strong>Using your home as your gym</strong></li>
</ul>
<p>You should be walking already and now ready to add a bit more exercise to your regime. IF you haven&#8217;t started pounding the pavements, then you should go back and read my post on walking called <a href="http://www.skoozap.com/2010/02/10/walking-the-footpath-with-confidence/" target="_self">walking the footpath with confidence </a>and get started with walking.</p>

<li><strong>Get bathroom scales</strong>
<ul>
<li>A large amount of fat people don&#8217;t own scales. For those who do, they hide them away where it can&#8217;t be seen and therefore never have to be used.</li>

<li><strong>Make the scales visible </strong>

<li>Don&#8217;t hide them away in the bathroom cupboard and pull them out when it&#8217;s time to weight yourself. Even if you have visitors to your home, don&#8217;t hide them away. Keep the scales visible at all times no matter what the circumstances.</li>

<p>You can&#8217;t break the scales. You can only have more digits than the scales. If this is the case, then you have a set goal already, which is to lose weight to measure yourself on a standard bathroom scale. This is a good goal to have as we all have to start somewhere. You can achieve! Just believe and do it!</p>

<p>Now I know that there are some very valid medical reasons why a small percentage of people can&#8217;t lose the fat but I&#8217;m not going to list them here because I don&#8217;t want you to think you can use these reasons as part of your excuses on why you haven&#8217;t lost the fat.</p>
<p>After all, the aim is to empower you to lose the fat and not keep it on.</p>

<p>As you can see, what clearly stands out is one common theme in the list which appears to attach itself in the 4 valid reasons and that common theme is;</p>

<p>Despite your better judgment, you take up his offer because you think no-one else will want to be with you as you are fat and so you&#8217;d better take what you can get. No other man has even given you a glance let alone a second look.</p>
<p><strong>Now picture this:</strong></p>

<li>Conversation is non existent</li>
<li>He turns off the light and makes sure it&#8217;s completely dark</li>
<li>He refuses to look you in the eye</li>

<li>He finishes his business and makes a b-line for the door</li>
<li>You are left there unsatisfied, lonely and feeling disheartened</li>

<p>So this is one of a thousand scenario&#8217;s out there where fat women and men come across at some stage in their life and maybe more so for some than others. Who really wants to go through all this pain because it is pain. And the sad thing is that people do treat other people like this just because they are fat.</p>

<p>Well you know how. Lose the bulge, fat, tyres, lard, whatever you want to call it, you have to lose it if you want these options. Easier said than done I know but that&#8217;s life and no excuse. So go lose it.</p>
<p>There are a million websites out there that will tell you how to eat properly and exercise to lose the weight. There are lots of books out there too that will also help you in your quest.</p>

<p>10am is coming around and the hunger pangs start. Your stomach starts making rumbling noises and you walk past the vending machine. You start having internal conflicts with yourself. Should I?
